Anne Celeste Heche is an American actor known for her many different kinds of roles in films or television, as well as in theatre. Anne Lockhart, born Anne Kathleen Maloney in September 1953, is an American actress from the United States. She is most well-known for her portrayal of Lieutenant Sheba in the TV series Battlestar Galactica (1978-1979). She is the daughter and granddaughter of daughter of actors Gene Lockhart, as well as actress June Lockhart. The career of Lockhart began when she was a child. Her first role came to her at the age of four and was in T is for Tumbleweed. It was nominated as an Academy Award in this short subject film. Carpenter says the actor was in contact with her but she declined. Anne isn't aware of getting asked to John Carpenter or being offered the role. Agents may not have accepted the offer in her name and without knowing. Glen Larson, who had submitted a rough script of the character she would be playing in the show Battlestar Galactica from 1978, initially chose her. The character wasn't strong enough to warrant her acceptance of the part. Glen then wrote a script for her that featured an extremely strong character named Sheba. After she read the first 250 pages of The Living Legend she accepted right away. It lasted for a single season. She was a co-star with Desi Arnaz Jr. (son of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball) Melanie Griffith and Robert Carradine in the film Joyride (1977) and co-starred along with Michael Moriarty in the horror film The Dark Tower (1987).
