Cristela Alonso is an American actor, comedian, producer and writer. Most famously, she is known for the TV show Cristela that began airing in 2014. This made her the first Latina to ever create produce writer and star in her own show on a network. Her family was from Texas before moving into Los Angeles for her career. The shows she appeared on including Sons of Anarchy, General Hospital and Sons of Anarchy. She also wrote for the TV series Mind of Mencia. Also, she was the host and was featured in "The The View". Additionally, she served as director on a couple of films like The Angry Birds Movie.
