
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died on January 19 the 19th of January, 2008. She was an American film voice actress, TV and voice actor. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and then she appeared in films in the 1950s and later. She later appeared in notable films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). Then, she appeared in several television productions and was frequently an actor in guest roles. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, from 1972 until 1978 and received a number of Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January, 1937. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer and choreographer who appeared on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage manager for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
